The load is usually wider, taller, or heavier than legal limits, which means permits from every jurisdiction on the route, a securement plan built for the specific machine, and a route survey that accounts for bridge ratings, overpass clearances, and turning radii. A single overlooked low bridge or an underrated securement point can turn into road damage, a downed line, or a destroyed asset — so we plan every move before a wheel turns.

We operate flatbed, step-deck, double-drop, and removable-gooseneck (RGN) trailers to match your load's height and deck-height requirements, and we handle the full permit package for both US states and Canadian provinces, including pilot-car and law-enforcement escort coordination where required. Standard legal limits sit around 48,000 lbs and 8.5 feet wide; with permits we routinely move loads up to 120,000 lbs and 16 feet wide. Securement follows FMCSA and Transport Canada standards as a floor, not a target — chains, binders, and blocking are specified around each machine's center of gravity, with booms and articulating parts locked and independently secured.

Because most incidents happen during loading and unloading rather than on the road, our drivers are trained on ramps, cranes, and rigging, and we arrange crane and rigging services through our partner network when a lift is involved. For equipment crossing the border, we coordinate customs documentation, temporary import permits, and special crossing arrangements in one workflow. High-value machinery is covered by cargo insurance, with supplemental coverage available — confirm your requirements early so it's in place before transit.
