Please read these terms carefully before using our freight transportation services or website.
Last updated: March 1, 2026
By accessing the Meher Transport Inc. website, requesting a quote, or engaging our freight transportation services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use our website or services.
Meher Transport Inc. provides freight transportation services including full truckload (FTL), cross-border freight between Canada and the United States, expedited and time-critical shipping, heavy equipment and oversized cargo transport, temperature-controlled shipping, and dedicated fleet solutions. Our services are subject to availability, regulatory compliance, and the specific terms agreed upon in individual service agreements or bills of lading.
All quotes provided through our website, email, or telephone are non-binding estimates based on the information you provide at the time of the request. Quotes are subject to change based on:
A confirmed and binding rate will be provided before dispatch. Once you authorize dispatch at the confirmed rate, the pricing becomes binding for that specific shipment unless the shipment details change materially from what was originally communicated.
As a licensed motor carrier, Meher Transport Inc. carries standard freight carrier liability as required under applicable Canadian and U.S. federal transportation regulations. For domestic Canadian shipments, our liability is governed by the terms of the applicable provincial highway traffic legislation and the standard conditions of carriage. For cross-border and U.S. shipments, liability is subject to the Carmack Amendment where applicable.
Meher Transport Inc. maintains comprehensive cargo insurance coverage. Standard coverage limits apply to all shipments. If your cargo exceeds standard coverage thresholds or requires specialized insurance (e.g., high-value goods, perishables, or hazardous materials), additional declared value coverage can be arranged at the time of booking. We recommend that shippers also maintain their own cargo insurance for full protection.
The following items are prohibited from shipment unless specifically authorized in writing by Meher Transport Inc.:
Shippers are solely responsible for ensuring that all goods tendered for transport comply with applicable laws and regulations. Failure to disclose the true nature of shipped goods may result in additional charges, shipment refusal, or legal action.
Payment terms are as follows:
All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars unless otherwise specified. Cross-border shipments may be invoiced in either Canadian or U.S. dollars as agreed at the time of booking.
In the event of cargo loss, damage, or delay, the following process applies:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meher Transport Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data, arising out of or related to the use of our services or website. Our total liability for any claim arising from transportation services shall not exceed the lesser of the declared value of the shipment or the applicable liability limit under the governing bill of lading or service agreement.
Meher Transport Inc. shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government actions, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, border closures, road closures, equipment failures not caused by negligence, or any other event that could not have been reasonably foreseen or prevented. In such events, delivery timelines will be adjusted accordingly and we will communicate updates promptly.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. For cross-border shipments, applicable U.S. federal transportation regulations shall apply to the extent required by law.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, either party may submit the matter to mediation administered by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in the Province of Ontario. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1991 (Ontario), or to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Province of Ontario.
Meher Transport Inc. reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services or website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. For existing service agreements, amendments to these Terms will not retroactively affect the terms of shipments already in transit.
